Personality:
Nam is quite a bit like his younger sister, Kyoko, in personality. He is overly formal upon introduction and is proper, and gives the impression of being cold at times. In reality,he is very warm-hearted, although a little awkward due to his lack of socialization with 'normal' people. He is a total bookworm at heart, and especially loves stories about samurais and the middle ages.

Ren's mother, Emilia, was the daughter of the owner of a rich oil-drilling company in America. She met Tadashi Komori when he was on a gap year in America. Emilia and Tadashi married and moved back to Japan. A few years later, Tadashi's father died, living behind the family company (which was owning a highly popular Television company). They had two children who both took after Tadashi: Ren and Kyoko. Ren was always very close with Kyoko despite the fact that he was five years older than her. They were both home-schooled and never had many other friends.

Yuika is average height with a perfectly balanced, hour-glass figure. Her skin is a light shade, however tans very easily, and as a result she attempts to restrict her time outside. Her eyes and hair and naturally dark, however she often changes her hair colour, and it ranges from different shades of blonde to orange to brown. Yuika has a perfect smile due to the fact that she had braces as a child, and wears contact lenses because she hates glasses.

Personality:
Yuika fits the definition of a stuck-up-brat quite well. She has a rather cold demeanor and can be rude without reason to people she believes aren't worth her time. That said, she can be very charming when she wants to be, and finds it very easily to manipulate people. She only has a few close 'friends', but they better fit the description of 'follower' than friend. Yuika often finds them annoying, and spends a lot of her time away from other people, and has developed interests and quite a talent for skateboarding and ballet. She is a very superficial girl, and when she isn't doing one of the activities mentioned above, she is either shopping or partying. Despite this, she is actually quite bright and has learned English and Korean while at Middle and Senior School.

Yuika is Kyoko's cousin, however was born and raised in Japan, and is not as rich. She is also an only child and was greatly spoiled by her parents, chiefly her father. Yuika's parents' names are Amaya and Hideki Nakagawa, and they own an expensive restaurant in Tokyo.

Kyoko is extremely short, about 5'1 tall, and has very light, flawless skin. Much like all Japanese people, she has dark brown eyes and naturally black hair, which she has bleached to a light reddy-blonde colour. Never really one for makeup, Kyoko usually only wears a little bit of eyeliner and lip gloss.

Kyoko is from a rich family, and was raised to be very polite and conservative. As a result of this, she often seems to a bit rude or vague when around people she has only just met. Under this, Kyoko is loving and friendly, and also very lonely. She and her older brother were home-schooled their whole lives and never really met anyone else, so she doesn't have many close friends. Kyoko is very confident in herself, and is an 'open-book', struggling to hide any of her emotions. She trusts other people very easily however has high standards for people to live up to. She is also quite bright and is fluent in Japanese and English.

She is very confident in herself though she has no confidence in other people and doesn't trust them as a rule. She doesn't really have any friends, and instead hangs out of classes with matches and lighters and vandalizing public property. As a result of her tough upbringing, Kate also developed some rather kleptomaniac like traits as she occasionally had to steal to support herself. In a nutshell, Kate is a rebel and mischief maker who enjoys causing mayhem.

Family:
Kate's only living relatives were her mother and father whom she cut off all contact with. Her mother was a workaholic and was hardly ever home, and her father greatly disliked children and teenagers in general, so he took great paints to avoid his daughter. Growing up she tried desperately to get their attention by going out and doing crazy things, however her plans backfired as neither really cared. Sick of them, Kate ran away when she was 15 years old and hid out at a friend's house (who had completed school). She changed schools and spent the rest of her life there.

Appearance:
Shadow has pale, ivory white skin as a result of spending almost his entire time indoors and his near-nocturnal behaviors. This contrasts greatly with his black hair and eyes. His eyes are striking. Although he was born with blue eyes. As a child, a wood chip flew into his left eye, damaging it and changing its colour to a light reddy-brown. Shadow also seems rather slim, although in reality he is very strong. On his chest he has tattooed a ribcage and spinal column.

Personality:
Shadow is a very sober, serious, dry and sarcastic man. He has a very 'stand-offish' air, and is a total loner. He isn't very social, and enjoys spending time with himself, to an extent that he doesn't really know how to make friends anymore (not that he cares). If you can make him smile, you're legendary. If you make him laugh, you can perform miracles. He tends to frighten people with his 'dark' moods and appearance, and it doesn't help that he seems to be either smoking, or playing with his pocket knife. At times he gets really annoyed that people refuse to see past his outwards appearance, and this generally makes him even more snappy and rude than usual. He gets even more like this when he actually cares about what someone thinks about it.
 
Family:
Shadow's parents split up when he was ten years old. He grew up with his mother, Sylvia. When he was fourteen, her new boyfriend, Ryan, moved into their house and lived with them. Shadow hated Ryan, so around his fifteenth birthday he ran away. He doesn't keep in touch with either of his parents anymore and lives alone.

History:
Shadow's father had died when he was only a year old from an outbreak of typhus, leaving he and his mother alone. Desperate to support her son, his mother remarried, but her new husband hated Shadow as he wasn't his real son. When his mother became pregnant with his new step-sibling, Shadow ran away from home, age 15.
 
Forced to find employment, he became a farmhand who traveled across the countryside looking for the best employment. One night when he was around 22 years of age, and still unsettled, he happened to be taking a shortcut from town through some empty grounds at a large manor house. Here he came across a strange, dark figure. He was attacked and bitten by the man, who happened to be a rogue vampire.
 
Yet before Shadow could be killed, a band of three other vampires came and chased off his attacker (whom they had been hunting down). Whilst the two others ran off and killed the rogue, the third one took Shadow back to where they had come from. He saved Shadow's life, turned him into a vampire and 'adopted' him.
 
Shadow's new father was the leader of a band of vampires who lived, stereotypically, in an uninhabited forest to stay away from humans and other bands of vampires. Shadow's father was killed by a werewolf around a hundred years after rescuing Shadow. Shadow then became the new leader without question.

Appearance:
David is a little taller than the average man when standing, however doesn't 'tower' over anyone. He has relatively short chocolatey brown hair and matching brown eyes which still manage to be very attention seeking, despite their plain colour. He is also very muscular with broad shoulders, a strong back and toned chest. His teeth are white and straight, and his skin lightly tanned after exercising outside for many hours.

Personality:
David is pretty darn sarcastic when he wants to be and cant be pretty unpleasant company at first. He has a habit of being rather short and emotionless to those he doesn't know well, irritate him, or when he is trying to hide his emotions. He also seems to be quite confident in himself and unable to be cut down, however this is not actually true. Although his attitude and actions beg to differ, David can feel quite insecure. He can flirt, and be very crazy and wild amoungst the right people (and those he is friends with). He is very intelligent and finds strange things, such as weather, very interesting and often spends his spare time researching it.
 
Family:
David has one older sister called Delia, and grew up with his father and mother. David was very close to his sister (despite their six year age difference) however did not have the same relationship with his parents. He and his father constantly argued and quarreled while e was growing up, resulting in David becoming rather argumentative by nature. His father wanted his son to become a lawyer or something academic, however he refused. As an adult he refuses to keep in contact with them.
David was also engaged at one point, however she ran away with his best friend instead, leaving David much more heartbroken then he let on.

Cassie is a rather intelligent girl but wastes her knowldge on doing rather trivial things. She is also very flirtatious and is known for sleeping around a bit. She is very good at displaying an air of confidence, and rarely ever lets people see her 'weaker' side. Since she always pretends to be happy and upbeat, people think tend to get the impression that she is shallow and stupid.

Cassie is from a middle class family. Her father is one of the head board members at the local university, and her mother is unemployed. Cassie grew up living with her father, Isaac, her mother Elisa and her older sister, Constance.
Cassie shares much of her father's appearance, although she has her mother's height (her mother was taller than her father). Cassie is taller than her older sister, but otherwise they look very similar. Constance (or Connie) is only 18 months older than Cassie and they are very close.
